Privacy Policy ¶

Your memories stay on your device ¶

Span keeps everything it knows about you on your Apple Vision Pro: your memories, notes, tags, cover images and settings. We don't run a backend, so your memories have nowhere to go.

What we don't collect ¶

• No personal information and no account
• No usage analytics or crash reports
• No advertising identifiers
• No tracking of any kind

Photos and Calendar ¶

• Span reads your Photos library and Calendar only after you give it permission, and only on your device
• It uses them to suggest memories: trips and days grouped by time and place, and milestones from your calendar
• A suggestion becomes a memory only when you accept it
• Span never changes or deletes anything in your Photos library or Calendar
• You can decline both permissions and add memories by hand, or revoke access at any time in Settings

Place names ¶

When a photo carries location data, Span asks Apple's reverse-geocoding service for the name of that place. The request goes to Apple, never to us, and is covered by Apple's Privacy Policy. We never receive the location or the place name.

Spatial scenes ¶

Photos are turned into spatial scenes by visionOS itself. Span does not send them anywhere.

Subscriptions ¶

• Purchases go through the App Store. Card details never reach the App
• A subscription-management service (RevenueCat) receives an anonymous app user ID, your purchase history and basic device and app details such as the OS and app version, so the App knows whether Span Unlimited is active. It isn't linked to your name, email or Apple Account, and it never receives your memories or photos

Deleting your data ¶

• Delete a memory in the app and it is gone
• Deleting the app removes everything Span stored
• Your original photos, videos and calendar events are untouched either way
• To delete what RevenueCat holds about your purchases, email us and we'll have it deleted within 30 days

Children ¶

Span is not directed at children under 13. It collects no personal information from anyone.

Changes ¶

If this policy changes, the date at the top changes with it. The current version always lives at drobinin.com/apps/terms/span.

Terms of Service ¶

1. Acceptance ¶

By downloading and using Span ("the App"), you agree to these terms and to Apple's standard Licensed Application End User License Agreement.

2. License ¶

• Span is licensed, not sold, to you
• The license covers your personal, non-commercial use
• The license is non-transferable

3. Your content ¶

Your photos, videos, notes and memories remain yours. The App only reads what you allow it to read and stores its data on your device.

4. Subscriptions ¶

• The App is free to download and free to use for up to 9 memories. Span Unlimited removes that limit
• Span Unlimited is a yearly subscription billed through your Apple Account. It renews automatically unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period
• Prices are shown in the App and may vary by region
• You can manage or cancel the subscription in your Apple Account settings
• If the subscription ends, every memory you already have stays in the App, but you can't add new ones past the free limit
• Refunds are handled by Apple under its own policies

5. Restrictions ¶

You may not:

• Reverse engineer, modify or create derivative works from the App
• Use the App for unlawful purposes
• Redistribute or resell the App
• Remove copyright or attribution notices

6. Third-party assets ¶

Some environment assets in the App are used under their own licenses. Credits are listed in the App under About Span.

7. Platform ¶

Span runs on Apple Vision Pro only and requires visionOS 27 or later.

8. No warranty ¶

The App is provided "as is" without warranty of any kind. We do not guarantee that suggestions, dates or place names will be accurate.

9. Limitation of liability ¶

We are not liable for indirect, incidental or consequential damages, or for loss of data stored in the App. Our total liability is limited to the amount you paid for the App or subscription in the previous 12 months.

10. Governing law ¶

These terms are governed by UK law.

11. Changes ¶

We may update these terms. Continued use of the App after an update means you accept the new terms.
